FAQ - Dishmachine - General Topics

Q: What is the difference between high-temp and low-temp dishmachine? What type of machines does Knight make?

A: High-temp machines use 180 degree water in the final rinse, and therefore do not require a chemical sanitizer. Low-temp machines by comparison use much lower water temperature which requires them to have a chemical sanitizer injected in the final rinse. The Knight KLE-112H/L can function in either application. All other Knight machines are strictly low-temp and operate on the fill-and-dump concept.

Q: Do Knight dishmachines have internal tank heaters?

A: The KLE-112H/L is the only model with a tank heater. This heater ONLY maintains wash water temperature. The temperature of the rinse water on the KLE-112H/L (and incoming water on all other models) must match the requirements of the specific machine.

Q: Which squeeze tube goes with each pump?

A: This correlates to the head size, or "series", that the pump belongs to. The following specs are only the most common tube sizes used. Other sizes may be available for special configurations.

  • 500 Series uses T-51, T-53, T-50, T-66
  • 800 Series uses T-50, T-66
  • 900 Series uses T-86

Q: What color roller goes with which squeeze tube?

A: Again, this is based on head size, or "series" and the following specs are shown in reference to the question about squeeze tubes.

  • 500 Series: T-51 (brown), T-53 (blue), T-50 (yellow), T-66 (yellow)
  • 800 Series: T-50 (yellow), T-66 (yellow)
  • 900 Series: T-86 (white)
