FAQ - Proportioner - Operation/Programming

Q: How do I determine my actual water-to-chemical ratio?

A: The actual ratio depends on the water pressure and product viscosity. (1) With the unit setup on-site, select the metering tip from the provided chart that most closely matches the dilution ratio you desire. (2) Pour about 10 oz of concentrated product into a graduated cylinder. (3) Hold down valve button and prime chemical line, then note level of product in cylinder. (4) Place a one gallon container over valve spout and fill container till full. (5) Note volume of concentrate used to fill one gallon. (6) Change metering tip if desired concentration is not achieved and repeat steps.

Q: Can I setup my proportioner for a "leaner" ratio than the standard metering tips allow?

A: Knight recently released a Torturous Path Metering Device, which permits ratios as lean as 1400:1.
